About Treasured Trees
The Treasured Trees program was created as a community partnership to identify, document, and celebrate trees throughout the Midlands that hold special historical, environmental, aesthetic, or sentimental value. It’s a public-private partnership between the Columbia Green, the Columbia Garden Club, the Garden Club Council of Greater Columbia, and the Columbia Tree and Appearance Commission.
Since 2005, over 225 trees have been designated as Treasured, including sugar maples, white oaks, poplars, dogwoods, and many others –and the list continues to grow through community-driven nominations and honors..
How it Works

Or use the online PDF and emailed it to forestry@columbiasc.gov with your photo.
Or you may download the PDF and fill it out by hand and mail it to City of Columbia, Forestry & Beautification, 2910 Colonial Drive, Columbia, SC 29203
Email a photo of your tree to forestry@columbiasc.gov being sure to include your name.
