Our Projects

Our Beat the Heat program is designed around our goal to plant one square mile of shade trees in our community. By planting and maintaining one of our free trees, you can be part of the solution to beat urban heat by helping us develop our city’s canopy!

Green spaces are essential to healthy urban habitats, providing critical support for wildlife and pollinators. We’re proud to champion local initiatives by investing in community projects that nurture people, animals, and our ecosystem.

Columbia Green’s Festival of Gardens is an annual fundraiser that supports our urban canopy and green space initiatives. Each year, we invite community members to tour a Columbia neighborhood that feature local gardening and green space efforts.
